Demographic, Clinical, Biological, Treatment Characteristics and Cardiovascular Events of Patients With Heart Failure in Vietnam: a Multicenter Prospective Observational Study

This research aims to describe the clinical features, biological markers, treatment, and cardiovascular events of patients with heart failure in Vietnam. It focuses on patients with reduced or mildly reduced heart function, specifically those with a left ventricular ejection fraction below 50%. The study is a prospective observational cohort that collects detailed demographic and clinical data from multiple cardiovascular centers. Patients hospitalized with heart failure will be included continuously during the study period. Data on their condition at discharge, including imaging results and treatments following national guidelines, will be collected. After discharge, participants will be followed up at 1, 3, and 12 months to gather information on their health status, medications, and any cardiovascular events such as rehospitalizations or deaths. Throughout the study, researchers will collect data using standardized definitions and a secure electronic database. Participants will be contacted periodically to update their medical history and treatment details. The main outcomes measured include all-cause mortality and heart failure rehospitalization within 12 months. Secondary outcomes include major cardiovascular events and adherence to guideline-directed therapy. The total participation duration spans from hospital discharge to one year of follow-up.
