Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 26 years
- Severe irregularity of upper incisors greater than 7 mm needing first premolar extraction
- Class I or Class II malocclusion with skeletal Class I or II and normal or mild vertical growth
- All permanent upper teeth up to the first molar present and suitable for bracket placement
- Good oral health
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of systemic diseases affecting orthodontic tooth movement
- Severe malalignment of specific teeth like palatal quadrant, ectopic canine, or ectopic premolar
- Previous orthodontic treatment
- Use of medications affecting tooth movement such as cortisone or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- Poor oral health
- Inability to commit to regular follow-up appointments
