The goal of this observational study is to learn about the long-term effects of HDR Brachytherapy in men with isolated local relapses after radical prostatectomy. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients with increasing PSA after radical prostatectomy and clinical evidence of PET PSMA/Choline positive and MRI positive isolated prostatic bed relapse implantable via transperineal route
- Isolated prostatic bed relapse visible on transrectal ultrasound imaging for proper implant placement
- Pathological confirmation advised but not mandatory
- Brachytherapy MRI-based dosimetry
- Patient provides written informed consent for the investigational treatment after Institutional Review Board approval
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of distant metastases
- Isolated nodal relapses
- Prior irradiation to the isolated prostatic bed relapse area
- Multicentric isolated prostatic bed relapses
- Life expectancy less than 5 years or inability to tolerate and comply with HDR procedure
