Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients with non-traumatic cardiac arrest who have successfully regained return of spontaneous circulation for more than five minutes after resuscitation
  • Age 20 years or older
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Under 20 years of age
  • Pregnant
  • Terminally ill cancer patients or cancer patients unwilling to receive treatment
  • Intensive care unit is over capacity and unable to provide intensive care
  • Patient or family members refuse to participate in the study
