Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male and female patients aged 8 years and older who are suspected of having thyroid cancer
- Patients with palpable and ultrasound-detectable lymph nodes or non-thyroidal neck masses referred for fine-needle aspiration biopsy
- Patients aged 18 and older previously diagnosed with thyroid cancer, treated with thyroidectomy, and recently found to have recurrent nodes in the thyroid bed or neck
You will not qualify if you...
- Children younger than 8 years old
- Patients who had a fine-needle aspiration biopsy or surgical biopsy on the thyroid within the past two weeks
- Patients who had a fine-needle aspiration biopsy or surgical biopsy on cervical lymph nodes or non-thyroidal masses within the past two weeks
