Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Children between 4 and 13 years
- Polyhandicap defined by all of the following: brain injury before age 3, severe mental deficiency (IQ < 40 or no evaluable IQ), motor impairment (para/tetraparesis, hemiparesis, ataxia, or extrapyramidal disorders), Gross Motor Function Classification System score III, IV or V, and Functional Independence Measure score < 50
- Hospitalized in a clinical setting participating in the study
- Beneficiary of social protection
- Written consent signed by legal guardian or parent with authority
You will not qualify if you...
- Progressive encephalopathies including metabolic, epileptic, or neurodegenerative diseases
- Planned move to another clinical setting
- Expected difficulties in following up during the study
