Actively Recruiting

This research evaluates the validity and reliability of the French version of the Foot Health Status Questionnaire (FHSQ-fr), a tool designed to sensitively measure foot health status and related quality of life across different foot conditions. The study addresses the need for a validated French-language questionnaire, expanding on more than 150 scientific publications that have cited the original FHSQ. The first phase involved translating the Australian FHSQ into French, and the current phase focuses on validating this version through psychometric testing. Participants will complete several French-validated questionnaires at the start of the study, including the FHSQ-fr, Foot Function Index (FFI), EuroQuality of Life 5D-5L (EQ5D), Visual Analogic Pain Scale (VAPS), and Short Form 12 Health Survey (SF12). Those not receiving treatment will be asked to fill out the FHSQ-fr again 7 to 10 days later to assess test-retest reliability. This approach aims to better understand foot health and quality of life in both the general population and those with specific conditions like diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis. Participants will visit a podiatric clinic for evaluations of foot pain, morphology, function, and posture. Researchers will analyze questionnaire results for internal consistency, stability over time, and measurement error. The study will improve knowledge of foot health outcomes in France, allowing future comparisons with international data and aiding in evaluating treatment effectiveness using this validated tool. The total participation includes the initial questionnaire completion and a follow-up questionnaire 7 days later for some participants.
