Sepsis and its severe form, septic shock, pose significant health challenges involving organ failure and acute circulatory failure. Despite early treatment, many patients still experience worsening conditions and high mortality. This research aims to evaluate whether measuring small blood vessel function in emergency patients can improve outcomes by guiding early fluid treatment. The study compares the usual monitoring of circulation with additional assessments by nurses of peripheral perfusion index and skin mottling. If these measurements indicate poor microcirculation, a first fluid infusion of 500 mL over 30 minutes will be given after medical approval. Patients will be followed for seven days to assess their recovery and health status. Participants will be monitored closely during emergency care, with nurses measuring microcirculation parameters alongside standard tests. Researchers will track clinical deterioration within 24 hours after inclusion, using these data to see if early intervention based on microcirculation improves patient prognosis. The total follow-up period for each participant is seven days.

Researchers are investigating the prevalence of sexual dysfunction in women after undergoing surgery for rectal cancer. This study focuses on women diagnosed with stage I-III rectal adenocarcinoma or rectosigmoid junction tumors. It aims to evaluate how common sexual dysfunction is before treatment and to assess the effect of a specialized sexologist consultation on sexual health compared to standard care without such intervention. Participants are divided into two groups: one group, called "here," will have consultations with a sexologist both before any treatment and after rectal cancer surgery. The sexologist will assess sexual dysfunction and provide support to improve sexual quality of life if needed. The other group, called "elsewhere," will receive the standard medical care for rectal cancer without any sexologist involvement. During the study, women's sexual function will be evaluated using the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) before treatment and after surgery. Researchers will monitor the number and proportion of women experiencing sexual dysfunction. The study includes assessments by a sexologist and tracking of sexual well-being over time to understand the impact of the intervention compared to usual care.

Very little information is available about hypoparathyroidism, a condition that can lead to complications such as low calcium symptoms, calcifications in various tissues, kidney stones, and kidney problems. No specific data exists for France, so researchers are gathering detailed information about the condition, its treatments, and related complications in French patients. This research aims to better understand how hypoparathyroidism affects people in France over about two years. No treatments or interventions will be given as part of this study. Instead, the study will collect and analyze existing data on patients diagnosed with chronic hypoparathyroidism who live in France. This approach allows researchers to observe real-world experiences without changing patient care. Participants will provide information that helps assess the overall patterns, treatments, and complications related to hypoparathyroidism. This includes tracking how common the condition is and monitoring any complications during the study. The study will continue until its completion, which is expected to be around two years, focusing on gathering comprehensive epidemiological data.
