Researchers are evaluating the effectiveness and safety of a new drug called GSK3862995B in adults with bronchiectasis, a chronic lung disease. This Phase 2 study also examines how the body processes the drug and checks for any immune reactions. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of two doses of GSK3862995B or a placebo to compare their effects on bronchiectasis. Participants will receive either Dose Level 1 or Dose Level 2 of GSK3862995B, or a matching placebo. The study uses a double-blind, randomized design, meaning neither participants nor researchers know who gets which treatment. The treatment period lasts up to 48 weeks, during which participants receive repeated doses. The study also includes assessments up to 72 weeks to monitor safety and immune responses. During the trial, participants will undergo evaluations including lung function tests, quality-of-life questionnaires, and monitoring of respiratory symptoms. Researchers will track the number of lung exacerbations, serious adverse events, laboratory tests, vital signs, and electrocardiograms to assess safety and effectiveness. Participants will be involved in regular visits and assessments throughout the treatment and follow-up periods, lasting up to about 72 weeks in total.

Researchers are evaluating depemokimab as a treatment for adults aged 40 to 80 with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease COPD who have type 2 inflammation and uncontrolled symptoms despite standard care. The study aims to assess the safety and effectiveness of depemokimab compared to a placebo when added to the usual treatment. This phase 3 trial is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline and focuses on reducing COPD exacerbations and improving respiratory symptoms over a long period. Participants will receive either depemokimab by subcutaneous injection alongside their standard inhaler therapy or a placebo injection plus standard care. The study is randomized, double-blind, and includes two groups one receiving depemokimab and the other a placebo, both continuing optimized inhaler treatments. This study will last up to 104 weeks, with regular assessments throughout. During the study, participants will undergo evaluations including lung function tests, symptom questionnaires such as the COPD assessment test and St. Georges Respiratory Questionnaire, and monitoring for COPD flare-ups or hospital visits. Researchers will track the number and severity of exacerbations and changes in quality of life measures. Safety and tolerability will also be closely monitored throughout the trial duration, which extends up to two years.

This trial investigates the efficacy and safety of benralizumab as an additional treatment for people aged 12 to 75 with uncontrolled eosinophilic asthma. These participants are already treated with a medium-dose inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting beta2-agonist ICS-LABA. The study compares adding benralizumab to increasing the inhaled therapy to a higher dose ICS-LABA. The research is a randomized, double-blind, active-controlled phase 3b trial designed to evaluate these treatments in people with a history of eosinophilic asthma who remain uncontrolled on medium-dose ICS-LABA with or without other controllers except oral corticosteroids. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups one receives benralizumab 30 mg by subcutaneous injection along with medium-dose ICS-LABA, and the other receives a placebo injection plus high-dose ICS-LABA. Doses of benralizumab or placebo are given every 4 weeks for the first three doses, then every 8 weeks, with up to seven injections during the study. The study treatment schedules continue for 48 weeks. During the study, participants will undergo assessments including lung function tests, asthma control questionnaires, and quality of life surveys. Researchers will track the annual rate of asthma exacerbations, time to first exacerbation, and safety events throughout the 48-week period. Compliance with asthma controller medication is monitored via daily diaries. This comprehensive evaluation helps understand the impact of adding benralizumab compared to increasing inhaled therapy dose in uncontrolled eosinophilic asthma.

Ulcerative colitis UC is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease causing inflammation and bleeding in the rectum and large intestine. This research aims to assess changes in disease activity in adults with moderate to severe UC who are treated with risankizumab in real-world clinical practice. The study will observe approximately 200 adult participants prescribed risankizumab by their physicians in Germany and Austria. Participants will receive risankizumab as prescribed by their doctors according to the approved local label and routine clinical care. The study does not introduce additional treatments or procedures beyond what is normally provided. Participants will be followed for up to 52 weeks while continuing their usual medication schedule. Throughout the study, participants will attend regular hospital or clinic visits as part of their routine care. Researchers will track the percentage of participants achieving symptomatic remission using the Partial Adapted Mayo Score over about 52 weeks. There is no expected added burden, and participants will receive standard monitoring and care during this period.
