This research aims to evaluate a program designed to provide 30-day egg vouchers to mothers of young children aged 6 to 24 months living in rural areas of Intibuc e1, Honduras. The study focuses on addressing child malnutrition by assessing the impact of this nutritional intervention in a community setting through a prospective, non-randomized trial. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will receive monthly 30-day egg vouchers in addition to the standard care they normally receive, while the other group will continue with the standard care without receiving egg vouchers. This approach will help compare the potential benefits of adding eggs to the diet of young children in this region. Throughout the study, researchers will monitor children's growth by measuring changes in length/height-for-age z-scores at 6 and 12 months from the start of the study. These assessments will help determine the program's effectiveness on child growth and nutrition. The study will include regular follow-ups during this time to track progress and collect relevant data.
