Actively Recruiting
Researchers are investigating how often endometrial cancer returns after standard treatment and how frequently this treatment leads to lymphedema. This observational study focuses on women diagnosed with endometrial cancer, including specific types such as endometrioid adenocarcinoma and stage I endometrial cancer. The goal is to understand cancer recurrence and treatment-related side effects over time. Participants will undergo standard surgical treatment including hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy. The study involves clinical follow-up for up to 30 months after surgery with physical examinations to monitor for relapse. No additional experimental treatments are mentioned, as this is an observational study following current standard care. Women in the study will have regular clinical assessments, including physical exams at post-operative visits for up to 30 months. Researchers will track the incidence of pelvic or non-vaginal cancer recurrence for 36 months after surgery. The study also monitors for signs of lymphedema and collects data from pathology reports and imaging conducted before surgery. Overall participation lasts at least 36 months from surgery, allowing for long-term observation of outcomes and safety.
