Researchers are studying the Subendocardial Viability Ratio (SEVR) in people with hypertension using a non-invasive method called arterial tonometry. The goal is to understand factors that affect SEVR and see if it can help predict heart-related health issues and mortality in those with high blood pressure. SEVR is measured by analyzing the shape of the central pressure wave in the arteries, comparing areas related to blood flow during heart relaxation and contraction phases. Participants will undergo arterial transcutaneous tonometry to measure SEVR. This involves a diagnostic test that is non-invasive and uses sensors on the skin to assess arterial pressure waveforms. The measurements will be collected and compared with body measurements and health data stored in a database to explore relationships between SEVR and hypertension-related factors. During the study, SEVR will be measured at the start and then again at 1, 2, 3, and 4 years to track changes over time. Researchers will also collect and analyze health information to understand how SEVR relates to cardiovascular risks. The study focuses on people with high blood pressure and aims to follow them for up to four years to monitor outcomes related to heart health.
