This research aims to find out if combining HPV vaccination with adolescent health services can increase HPV vaccine uptake among girls aged 10 to 13 in Laos. It also examines whether this combined approach affects the use of other health services by boys and girls in the same age group. The study explores barriers and supports for using this combined intervention and gathers opinions from adolescents, caregivers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. Additionally, it looks at the costs and benefits of offering HPV vaccination alongside adolescent health services compared to providing the vaccine alone. The combined intervention includes giving the HPV vaccine, a single dose of recombinant Human Papillomavirus Quadrivalent vaccine (types 6, 11, 16, and 18), through schools, health facilities, and community outreach. Along with vaccination, participants receive education on sexual and reproductive health, take part in group discussions and individual counseling, and can access other health services as needed. The comparison group receives the standard HPV vaccination services without the additional health education or counseling. Participants aged 10 to 13 will be involved for 9 months, during which researchers will assess HPV vaccination rates at the start, 3 months, and 7 months after the intervention begins. They will also evaluate changes in knowledge, attitudes, and use of health services related to sexual and reproductive health among adolescents. The study monitors perceptions from multiple stakeholders, healthcare provider workload, and the cost-effectiveness of the integrated service. Data collection includes surveys and interviews to understand the overall impact of combining HPV vaccination with adolescent health services.
