This research aims to determine if combining HPV vaccination with adolescent health services improves HPV vaccine uptake among girls aged 10 to 13 in Laos. It also evaluates the effect of this combined approach on the use of other health services by both boys and girls in this age group. The study explores barriers, facilitators, costs, and perceptions related to integrating HPV vaccination with sexual and reproductive health education and services. The study compares two groups: one receiving an integrated intervention package and the other receiving standard HPV vaccination services. The integrated package includes a single dose of recombinant HPV quadrivalent vaccine given through schools, health facilities, and community outreach. It also offers comprehensive sexuality education sessions, individual counseling, and access to other health services. The comparison group receives the same HPV vaccine through routine school, health facility, and outreach programs without additional sexual and reproductive health education or counseling. Participants aged 10 to 13 will be assessed at the start, 3 months, and 7 months after the intervention begins. Researchers will measure HPV vaccination rates, changes in knowledge and attitudes about sexual and reproductive health, use of other adolescent health services, healthcare provider workload, and stakeholder perceptions. They will also evaluate the costs and cost-effectiveness of the integrated approach. The study lasts about 9 months and includes both in-school and out-of-school adolescents in selected districts.
