Actively Recruiting

Researchers are evaluating two behavioral intervention components to find the best combination that helps people who inject drugs achieve and maintain HIV viral load suppression. This study uses a 2x2 factorial design to test the effects of peer support services for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) uptake and persistence, and behavioral activation therapy (BAT) for depression. All participants will also receive patient navigation to support care engagement. The goal is to understand which combination of these components leads to sustained viral suppression over time.
