Researchers are evaluating the safety and tolerability of increasing doses of GSK3862995B. This study involves healthy participants receiving a single dose and participants with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) receiving repeated doses to assess the drug's effects. The trial is a Phase 1, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study designed to also investigate immunogenicity, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of GSK3862995B. Participants are divided into two parts: Part A includes healthy volunteers aged 18 to 65 years who receive single ascending doses of GSK3862995B or placebo. Part B includes participants with COPD aged 40 to 75 years who receive repeated doses of the study drug or placebo. Dosing schedules and exact administration details are monitored closely throughout the study. During the study, participants undergo medical evaluations including laboratory tests, vital sign monitoring, cardiac assessments with 12-lead ECG, and recording of adverse events for up to 36 weeks in Part A and 48 weeks in Part B. Researchers will track changes in laboratory values, vital signs, and ECG parameters, as well as collect information on any adverse or serious adverse events. This research aims to compare intismeran autogene combined with pembrolizumab versus placebo with pembrolizumab as an additional treatment after surgery for people with stage II, IIIA, or IIIB (with nodal involvement) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has been fully removed with clear margins. The study is a phase 3 trial investigating whether the combination including intismeran autogene improves disease-free survival compared to the placebo combination. Participants will receive either intismeran autogene by intramuscular injection plus pembrolizumab by intravenous infusion or a placebo injection plus pembrolizumab. The treatments are given after surgery and standard platinum-based chemotherapy. No more than 24 weeks can pass from surgery to the first pembrolizumab dose. The study evaluates these treatments as adjuvant therapy to reduce cancer recurrence. During the trial, researchers will monitor participants for disease-free survival for up to approximately 78 months. Participants undergo regular assessments including medical evaluations to track cancer status and treatment effects. The study excludes those with prior neoadjuvant therapy, certain infections, or other cancer treatments that might interfere. Safety and long-term outcomes are carefully observed throughout the study period.

Researchers are evaluating the safety and effectiveness of telisotuzumab vedotin compared to docetaxel in adults with previously treated non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that overexpresses c-Met. This phase 3 study focuses on participants with advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have specific genetic markers and have progressed after prior therapies. The study aims to assess changes in disease activity and adverse events over time. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either intravenous telisotuzumab vedotin every two weeks or intravenous docetaxel every three weeks. Treatment continues until predefined discontinuation criteria are met. Those who benefit from the study treatment may have the option to continue receiving it through an extension or rollover study. Approximately 698 adults will be enrolled worldwide at about 330 sites. During the study, participants will attend regular hospital or clinic visits for medical assessments, blood tests, side effect monitoring, and questionnaires. Researchers will measure progression-free survival and overall survival for up to approximately 39 months. Researchers are evaluating the antidepressant effects of ALTO-100 compared to a placebo in adults with Bipolar Disorder I or II who are currently experiencing a major depressive episode. This Phase 2 study focuses on patients who are also taking mood stabilizers and/or atypical antipsychotic medications. The study aims to understand differences in efficacy related to patient characteristics, while also assessing safety and tolerability. Participants will receive either ALTO-100 at a dose of 40 mg twice daily or a matching placebo tablet twice daily during the Double-Blind period. Following this, there will be an open-label treatment phase to further evaluate safety, tolerability, and effectiveness. All treatments are given alongside the patient’s existing mood stabilizer and/or atypical antipsychotic therapy. Throughout the study, participants will be regularly assessed for changes in depression symptoms using the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) from Day 1 through Week 6. Researchers will monitor safety and tolerability during both the double-blind and open-label phases. The study involves ongoing compliance with assessments and procedures to track treatment effects and participant well-being.

Researchers are investigating whether the medicine vicadrostat, when taken together with empagliflozin, can lower the risk of heart-related problems in adults who have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease but no history of heart failure. This study is a Phase III trial that compares the effects of vicadrostat plus empagliflozin to a placebo plus empagliflozin in people with these conditions. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups: one group takes vicadrostat and empagliflozin tablets, and the other group takes placebo tablets that look like vicadrostat along with empagliflozin. All participants take one tablet daily for a period ranging from two and a half years up to four years and three months. Throughout the study, participants continue their usual medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease. During up to 51 months of participation, participants visit the study site regularly where doctors collect health information and blood samples. Researchers track when participants experience cardiovascular events such as heart-related deaths or heart failure events. The study also monitors participants’ overall health and any side effects they may experience to assess the safety and effects of the treatments.

Researchers are evaluating how factors like age, gender, other medical conditions, and the type of immunotherapy affect the development of side effects in patients with malignant solid tumors receiving immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. The study aims to develop and validate a risk prediction model for serious immune-related side effects during the first year of ICI treatment. Additional goals include tracking the occurrence of various side effects, quality of life, patient-reported symptoms, and treatment patterns over 12 months, along with studying biological markers that may predict side effect risk. Participants will have tissue samples collected at the start of their cancer treatment and will complete questionnaires at baseline and at weeks 4, 12, 24, and 52. Blood samples may also be collected at multiple times during the study. The study focuses on patients receiving standard-of-care ICI therapy for solid tumors, without combination chemotherapy or other non-ICI treatments. During the study, participants will complete patient-reported outcome forms and health questionnaires to assess side effects and quality of life. Researchers will monitor the occurrence of severe immune-related side effects over 52 weeks and evaluate biological markers from blood and tissue samples. The study also assesses the use of electronic methods for collecting patient data. Total participation includes assessments over approximately one year following treatment start.

Researchers are evaluating the effects of maridebart cafraglutide, given alongside standard care, in reducing heart failure events such as hospitalizations, urgent visits, cardiovascular deaths, and improving symptoms in people with heart failure who have preserved or mildly reduced ejection fraction and are obese. This is a global phase 3, multicenter trial with a two-part design including a double-blind period followed by an open-label extension. The first part will end once around 850 key events have been recorded. Participants will receive either maridebart cafraglutide or a placebo, both administered by injection under the skin. The study includes an initial randomized, double-blind phase and a later open-label extension where all participants may receive the active treatment. The trial is designed to monitor participants over time to assess the safety and effects of the treatment compared to placebo. During the trial, participants will undergo assessments including monitoring for cardiovascular events, heart failure symptoms, and laboratory tests such as NT-proBNP levels. Researchers will track time until the first occurrence of cardiovascular death or heart failure events over approximately 35 months. Researchers are evaluating the effectiveness of ALTO-300 compared to a placebo when added to an antidepressant treatment in adults with moderate to severe major depressive disorder (MDD). This Phase 2 study aims to identify differences in how well ALTO-300 works based on patient characteristics. The main goal is to measure changes in depression symptoms over six weeks using the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS). Participants will receive either ALTO-300 capsules or placebo capsules once daily while continuing their current antidepressant, which must be a single SSRI, SNRI, or bupropion taken for at least six weeks without recent dose changes. The study includes a randomized, double-blind phase where neither participants nor researchers know who receives the active drug or placebo. There is also an open-label extension phase after the initial treatment period. During the study, participants will undergo regular assessments to monitor their depression symptoms and overall health. Researchers are evaluating the effect of abelacimab compared to a placebo in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who are considered unsuitable for oral anticoagulation therapy. This study focuses on people at high risk for ischemic stroke or systemic embolism and aims to assess the safety and effectiveness of abelacimab in preventing these events. The study is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving patients with AF who have specific risk factors and treatment challenges. Participants will receive either abelacimab, provided as a liquid in vials at 150 mg/mL, or a matching placebo liquid. The study design includes parallel groups with blinded treatment assignment. The trial does not describe additional treatment phases or extensions but focuses on the comparison of abelacimab and placebo over the study duration. Researchers are evaluating whether the drug zilebesiran can reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events such as cardiovascular death, nonfatal heart attacks, strokes, or heart failure in adults who have hypertension that is not well controlled and who either have established cardiovascular disease or are at high risk for it. This Phase 3 global study is designed to continue until enough cardiovascular events have occurred to assess the treatment's effect. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either zilebesiran or a placebo, both given as injections under the skin (subcutaneous administration). All participants will continue with their standard care, which includes treatment with at least two antihypertensive medications, one of which must be a diuretic such as a thiazide or loop diuretic. The study is double-blind, so neither participants nor researchers know who is receiving the active drug or placebo. During the study, participants will be closely monitored for cardiovascular events including heart attacks, strokes, heart failure hospitalizations, and cardiovascular deaths over approximately five years. Researchers will collect data on these events to determine the time until the first occurrence of any of these outcomes. Safety assessments and standard clinical evaluations will also be performed throughout the study period to ensure participant well-being.
