Actively Recruiting

Researchers are evaluating the feasibility and effectiveness of an education and coaching program designed for parents of children newly diagnosed with autism. This program focuses on modifiable lifestyle factors and environmental changes as an additional support alongside comprehensive clinical care. The study is a single-arm, open-label, prospective trial involving 12 children aged 3 to 7 years with moderate to severe autism. The intervention consists of a 12-month education and health coaching program tailored for parents. It aims to guide them on lifestyle and environmental modifications that may benefit their children. The study does not include a comparison group and focuses on delivering this coaching as an adjunct to usual clinical treatment. Participants will be assessed at the start, at six months, and at 12 months using the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) to measure changes. Parents are expected to engage in coaching sessions and follow the program throughout the year. The study monitors the program's feasibility and its potential impact on the children's autism symptoms over this period.
