Researchers are evaluating how Remote Dental Monitoring (RDM) combined with clear aligners can improve orthodontic treatment for patients with malocclusion and misaligned teeth. The study aims to assess treatment effectiveness, the rate of aligner changes, number of refinements needed, appointment frequency, cost-effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. This research also explores whether RDM can maintain high-quality care remotely without compromising treatment outcomes and if it can motivate better patient compliance and oral hygiene. Participants will be treated with clear aligners, some of whom will use the Dental Monitoring11 technology that uses artificial intelligence to analyze 3D tooth movements from photos and videos taken by patients via smartphone. This digital tool allows orthodontists to monitor progress remotely and customize aligner replacement intervals. The study compares patients using standard clear aligners to those using aligners plus Remote Dental Monitoring to optimize treatment and reduce in-office visits. During the 6 to 30 month study period, researchers will track the number of aligner trays completed with a good fit, the number of refinements and added trays needed, and the ratio of added trays to planned trays. Participants will be monitored regularly through the app or in-office visits, with data collected on treatment progress, patient satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness. The goal is to improve treatment efficiency while maintaining quality and patient experience.
