What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying adults hospitalized with heart failure to understand how non-invasive measurements from the Acorai Device 1.0 relate to clinical data and outcomes. The study focuses on patients admitted with new or worsening heart failure symptoms and aims to explore links between device readings and events like heart failure rehospitalization or death within 90 days after discharge. It is a prospective observational study conducted in multiple hospitals across the United States, Europe, and Singapore. Participants will have daily short recordings of physiological signals from the chest using the Acorai Device 1.0 throughout their hospital stay. This handheld, non-invasive device collects multimodal thoracic data in about five minutes without affecting clinical care or providing diagnostic information to doctors. After discharge, participants health outcomes, including hospital readmissions for heart failure and all-cause mortality, will be tracked for 90 days using medical records. During the study, researchers will gather clinical information such as demographics, medical history, vital signs, lab results, and routine imaging from participants records. The main measurement is the combined rate of heart failure hospitalizations or deaths within 90 days after discharge. The study will also analyze how device measurements change during hospitalization and how these relate to clinical outcomes. Participants are not subjected to additional procedures beyond the daily device recordings and routine care, and the study spans from admission through 90 days post-discharge.
