Observational Study Collecting Cancer Patient Data from the ROC Platform in Campania Region Retrospective and Prospective Multicenter Cancer Registry

This research focuses on cancer patients registered in the ROC platform, a multicenter database in the Campania region. It aims to gather and analyze data retrospectively and prospectively to improve understanding of cancer patient outcomes and care. The study seeks to monitor the ROC platforms performance and provide insights into cancer epidemiology, treatment, and healthcare management in this region, which has worse oncological outcomes compared to other Italian areas. Participants come from two groups those already recorded in the ROC platform since its activation in November 2018 until the studys start, and new patients entering the platform after ethical approval. Data collection covers a wide range of information, including tumor incidence, treatment strategies, diagnostic activities, and adherence to clinical guidelines. These data are collected continuously and analyzed at set intervals over several years. During the study, researchers will evaluate many outcomes such as tumor incidence and prevalence, timing between diagnostic and therapeutic activities, patient quality of life, costs related to care inefficiencies, and patient satisfaction. Assessments will occur regularly up to five years or longer, depending on the measure. This ongoing monitoring aims to provide comprehensive knowledge to improve cancer care and decision-making for patients in the Campania region.
