AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to collect prospective data on patients who experience sudden health deterioration, including sudden cardiac arrest, while staying in general hospital wards. The study focuses on patients who are monitored and treated by the hospital's rapid response team to better understand these emergency situations. Participants include patients admitted to general wards who are monitored by the rapid response system at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. The study observes these patients without any experimental treatment, tracking their condition and the rapid response team's interventions over time. During the study, researchers will record important outcomes such as patient mortality, admission to intensive care units, and occurrences of preventable cardiac arrest. They will also track how often specific criteria trigger activation of the rapid response team. The study will analyze these outcomes over an average period of one year to improve understanding and management of acute patient deterioration in hospitals.
