This implementation research project aims to test the effectiveness and implementation outcomes of suicide safety planning along and a transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral intervention for suicide prevention on decreasing suicidal behaviors in secondary school students in Mozambique. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Youth enrolled in a secondary school in Sofala Province within 30 minutes of a health facility with urgent care and mental health departments
- Youth enrolled in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade
- Legal guardian has provided consent if youth is under 18, or youth has provided consent if 18 or older
- Youth has assented to participate
- Youth expresses active suicidal ideation on the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS)
You will not qualify if you...
- Youth or guardian has not provided consent or informed consent cannot be given
- Youth is not enrolled in a participating secondary school
- Youth declines to assent
- Youth is a ward of the State or other agency, institution, or entity
