Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Clinician attending newborn resuscitations at a participating community hospital spoke site
- Provides informed oral consent before study procedures
- Neonate born in participating community hospital spoke site
- Neonate born at less than 32 weeks gestation; OR
- Neonate needing advanced resuscitation defined as positive pressure ventilation for at least 10 minutes, or placement of alternative airway, or chest compressions
You will not qualify if you...
- Neonate born outside the hospital birthing center
- Neonatal transport team present and providing resuscitation at birth
- Severe congenital anomaly requiring intensive care or surgery in first two weeks of life
- Plan for comfort care (non-resuscitation) after delivery
- In-person neonatology-trained physician present for resuscitation
