What this Trial Is About

This research focuses on patients diagnosed with upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma who have undergone nephroureterectomy surgery. It aims to observe the occurrence of cancer relapses and assess patients' quality of life, including oncological, psychological, and sexual aspects. The study is both prospective and retrospective, collecting data from patients treated since 1987 to improve clinical understanding and patient care. The study involves collecting detailed information about the patients' pathological status and quality of life through a specially created secure database. Retrospective data from hospital archives will be used alongside new data from ongoing patients. No experimental treatments are administered, as this is an observational study monitoring outcomes after nephroureterectomy surgery. Participants will be monitored over a long period, with clinical progression data collected for up to 50 years. Researchers will gather oncological relapse information, clinical progression, and quality of life data through clinical reports and patient records. This helps develop better therapeutic strategies and support for patients with this type of cancer.
