AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are developing artificial intelligence (AI) models to improve how diagnostic mammograms are read for different populations and types of breast cancer. This study aims to use donated mammogram images and participant responses to a questionnaire to enhance patient outcomes. It also provides participants with access to their mammography images, addressing challenges breast cancer patients face such as emotional stress and difficulty accessing images due to cost or format. Participants include adults aged 18 and older who have had a breast cancer imaging test in a US institution, whether for screening or diagnosis, with either positive or negative results. The study does not involve any interventions or treatments. Instead, it collects mammography images and participant information to train AI models aimed at better interpreting mammograms across diverse populations. The study acknowledges the complexity of breast cancer and the need to improve AI accuracy for different racial, age, and ethnic groups. During the one-year study period, participants will provide mammography images and complete questionnaires online. The study will use this data to train AI models and supply participants with access to their mammograms. Researchers will assess the effectiveness of AI training and monitor the provision of images to participants. The total study participation time is approximately one year, during which participants are asked to share their imaging data and complete related questionnaires via email or smartphone.
