What this Trial Is About

Researchers are exploring how combining MRI scans taken inside the body (in vivo) and outside the body (ex vivo) with tissue and molecular testing can improve non-invasive understanding of tumor diversity in high-grade serous ovarian cancer. This study focuses on patients with advanced stages of this cancer and aims to link imaging results with detailed biological assessments. The research is designed to help better characterize tumor heterogeneity, which can influence diagnosis and treatment decisions. During surgery, tissue samples from the primary tumor and any metastases, as well as blood samples, will be collected for analysis. MRI images will be taken both before surgery and on the excised tissues during surgery. These images will be compared with histological and molecular data obtained during the operation. This single-arm study involves only one group of participants undergoing these procedures. Participants will provide informed written consent and undergo surgery where samples and imaging data are collected. Researchers will evaluate the integration of MRI imaging and biological data to characterize tumor heterogeneity. They will use advanced imaging techniques, including AI-based analysis, to study tumor features and compare these with molecular and histological findings. The study also includes correlating MRI results with blood test data. The total participation time centers around surgical management and associated assessments.
