What this Trial Is About
Ventricular tachycardia VT is a dangerous abnormal heart rhythm affecting the lower heart chambers, often occurring in patients with structural heart disease caused by previous heart attacks. This trial compares a new non-invasive mapping system called VIVO, which uses previous heart scan images, a chest photo, and ECG data to locate VT origins, with standard invasive catheter ablation. The purpose is to see if VIVO-guided ablation can reduce procedure time and improve workflow compared to the usual mapping techniques. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups standard VT ablation or VIVO-guided ablation. The VIVO group will have invasive electro anatomical mapping limited to the area identified by the VIVO system, while the standard group undergoes full chamber mapping. Both groups receive catheter ablation to treat VT using tissue heating or freezing. The study is conducted across multiple centers and is non-blinded. During the trial, participants will undergo VT ablation procedures with detailed monitoring of procedure duration, mapping time, ablation time, and number of shocks delivered. Researchers will also track safety outcomes, procedural success, hospitalizations, and patient-reported health benefits over six months. Follow-up includes assessing VT episodes and device events from implanted ICDCRTD devices. The total participation involves procedure day assessments and routine visits for at least six months post-enrollment.
