Researchers are evaluating the effects of two popular warm-up protocols, FIFA 11+ and RAMP, on agility and sprint performance in young male soccer players aged 8 to 15. This randomized clinical trial aims to fill a gap in sports science by directly comparing these warm-ups to guide coaches in optimizing athlete development and reducing injury risk during crucial developmental years. Participants will be randomly assigned to perform either the FIFA 11+ or the RAMP warm-up protocol before each training session for six weeks. The FIFA 11+ is a 20-minute program with 15 exercises focusing on neuromuscular control and injury prevention, divided into slow-speed running, strength and balance exercises, and high-intensity running drills. The RAMP protocol is also 20 minutes long, featuring four phases: Raise, Activate, Mobilize, and Potentiate, designed to progressively prepare athletes for high-intensity activity. Each group will complete a total of 18 sessions, training three times per week. Participants will undergo assessments at baseline, the first week, and after six weeks, including the Illinois Agility Test to measure agility and a 30-meter sprint test to evaluate sprint speed. Data will be analyzed to compare improvements between the two groups. This study includes monitoring of performance outcomes and aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for warm-up routines. The total study duration spans the six-week intervention period, with evaluations conducted at specified intervals.
