Researchers are evaluating a new AI-based physiotherapy evaluation system designed to measure the range of motion (ROM) of the mouth, neck, and shoulders. This study aims to assess how reliable and valid this AI system is compared to traditional manual measurements, which can vary depending on the experience of the person conducting them. The study focuses on healthy adults aged 20 to 70 years and explores how well the AI system agrees with human raters using standard clinical tools. Participants will perform standardized movements including mouth opening and neck-shoulder ROM tasks. Each movement will be measured three times using three methods: the AI system with automated keypoint tracking, manual measurement by one rater, and manual measurement by a second independent rater using tools like a goniometer or TheraBite ROM scale. The order of these assessments will be randomized to reduce bias and fatigue, and raters will be blinded to each other's results and the AI measurements. During the study, participants' movements will be carefully evaluated using these different measurement methods. The study will track agreement between AI and manual measurements, as well as reliability within and between raters using statistical methods. Results will help determine if the AI system can provide standardized and objective physiotherapy assessments. The study is expected to run until the end of 2027 and involves a single visit where all measurements take place.
