Age: 18Years - 55Years
FEMALE

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Women who self-identify as Hispanic/Latina, aged 18-55
  • Body Mass Index between 30 and 45 kg/m2
  • Documented diagnosis of prediabetes confirmed by HbA1c level of 5.7-6.4%
  • Proficient in Spanish or English at a 5th grade level
  • Approved by a physician to participate
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Current diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes
  • Currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy during the study
  • Recent heart disease, angina symptoms, stroke, or orthopedic problems limiting activity within 6 months
  • Serious medical conditions making physical activity unsafe
  • Enrolled in weight-loss programs or taking medications for weight loss or prediabetes
  • Moderate or severe alcohol or substance use disorder, acute suicidal thoughts, psychosis, bulimia, or compensatory behaviors
  • Psychiatric hospitalization in the past year
  • Planning to move from the San Diego area within the next 6 months
