Study of Interventional Therapies for Right Heart Valve Diseases in Berlin Tracking Patient Outcomes After Procedures Like TriClip and Cardioband

Researchers are evaluating patients who have undergone interventional treatments for valve diseases affecting the right side of the heart, such as tricuspid and pulmonary valve conditions. The study aims to assess the impact of these various catheter-based therapies, including devices like TriClip and Cardioband, on patient outcomes and to identify which patient subgroups benefit the most. This research is observational and conducted primarily in Berlin and Brandenburg. The treatments studied involve catheter-based procedures that address valve problems in the right heart, focusing on techniques for tricuspid regurgitation and stenosis as well as pulmonary regurgitation and stenosis. These interventions are performed mainly with devices such as TriClip and Cardioband. The study includes follow-up examinations to monitor patients after their valve interventions. Participants will be followed with medical history reviews, laboratory tests, and echocardiograms to evaluate heart function and valve performance. Outcomes measured include overall and cardiovascular mortality, hospitalizations for heart failure, and assessments of heart failure symptoms, heart and valve function, and liver and kidney health. The follow-up period includes evaluations approximately two months after the intervention to track these health indicators and patient status.
