Bowen Technique With Retro-walking on Hamstring Flexibility in Knee Osteoarthritis
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 40 to 60 years
- Both male and female genders
- Hamstring tightness with less than 80-degree hip flexion on passive straight leg raise
- Active knee extension greater than 20 degrees indicating hamstring tightness
- Kellgren and Lawrence classification stage I or II of knee osteoarthritis
- Bilateral hamstring tightness
- Visual analogue scale pain score greater than 3
- Knee pain lasting more than 3 months
You will not qualify if you...
- Meniscal or ligament injuries
- Hamstring muscle or tendon injuries
- Spinal injuries or other co-morbid conditions
- History of surgery, infection, trauma, fracture, or falls
- Pregnancy
- Participation in regular flexibility yoga programs
- Intra-articular steroid therapy within the last 6 months
- Current involvement in another intervention study
- Malignancy
