Hypertension is a common chronic condition and a key risk factor for heart and brain blood vessel diseases, posing a significant public health challenge. This research aims to explore the relationship between various biomarkers and negative health outcomes in adults with hypertension. The study focuses on adults 18 years and older diagnosed with hypertension, regardless of race or ethnicity. Participants will be observed without any treatment intervention as this is an observational study. At the start of the study, participants undergo physical exams, complete questionnaires, and provide blood samples. Researchers will then monitor these participants over time to track mortality rates, including deaths from any cause and specifically cardiovascular-related deaths. Throughout the study, participants health and outcomes will be followed for up to one year after enrollment. The study collects data through physical exams, surveys, and blood specimen analysis to assess mortality outcomes. This approach helps researchers understand how biomarkers may relate to survival and cardiovascular risks in people with hypertension.
