Sample Collection From Adults With Various Skin Conditions and Healthy Volunteers to Study Inflammatory Skin Diseases

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are collecting various samples from adults with different inflammatory skin diseases as well as healthy volunteers to better understand these conditions. The study aims to analyze these samples using methods like biomarker testing and gene expression profiling to gain molecular insights into skin diseases such as acne, atopic dermatitis, chronic hand eczema, hidradenitis suppurativa, palmoplantar pustulosis, and psoriasis. Participants include healthy adults and adults diagnosed with specific skin conditions aged 18 years or older, with acne subjects limited to ages 18 to 45 years. The study involves collecting blood, oral, hair, skin using tape strips, biopsies, or scrapings, skin surface materials, drainage fluid, and stool samples. These samples will be used for various analyses to explore biomarkers and gene expression. During the study, participants will provide the different biological samples on Day 1, which will be analyzed for untargeted biomarkers and gene expression profiles. The researchers will monitor these molecular markers to understand skin disease characteristics. Participants must consent to the procedures and be available for the study duration. The study is observational, with no treatment given, and focuses on sample collection and molecular data gathering.
