Researchers are evaluating if community-based exercise training can help adults aged 18 to 85 with reduced heart and lung function. This study aims to create a community or home exercise program that improves safety, adherence, and effectiveness while reducing the burden on patients and society. The trial compares this exercise training to no exercise to see if it improves cardiovascular and pulmonary health. Participants assigned to the exercise group will engage in 40 to 60 minutes of physical activity such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, or hiking, five times a week for eight weeks. Exercise intensity will be adjusted based on individual cardiopulmonary tests and perceived effort to ensure safe and effective workouts. Fitness trackers will be used to monitor exercise data, which participants will submit weekly. Those in the non-exercise group will not participate in the training. Throughout the study, participants will be assessed at the start and after eight weeks for exercise capacity and quality of life. Additional measures include leg strength, heart function, and blood tests. The study uses a randomized design with a single-blind approach and lasts eight weeks. Participants are asked not to change their diet during the trial, and their exercise data will be closely monitored to evaluate the outcomes.
