Researchers are evaluating the effects of dynamic and static stretching exercises on pain, knee range of motion, and lower extremity function in postmenopausal women with knee osteoarthritis. This condition is a progressive joint disease causing inflammation and bone changes, commonly affecting older adults and leading to disability. The study focuses on women between 50 and 65 years old who experience significant knee pain and functional limitations due to osteoarthritis. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Group A will perform dynamic stretching exercises for the hamstrings and calf muscles, while Group B will perform static stretching of the hamstrings and quadriceps. Both groups will receive hot pack applications to the lower extremities before stretching. Each session will last 30 minutes and will be conducted daily for five days, following a set number of repetitions. During the 6-week study period, researchers will assess outcomes using tools such as a goniometer to measure knee range of motion, the lower extremity function scale, manual muscle testing for strength, and a numerical pain rating scale. Data will be analyzed to compare the effects of the two stretching methods on symptoms and function. Participants will be monitored throughout the treatment period to evaluate changes in pain and mobility related to knee osteoarthritis.
