This research aims to understand how the brain's connections change in children with spastic diplegia after they have undergone Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery. The study focuses on examining structural changes in the corticospinal tract using advanced brain imaging techniques called diffusion tractography imaging (DTI). It also compares resting state functional connectivity and timing differences in brain activity in these children post-surgery. Participants will have two post-operative MRI scans that include DTI and resting state functional connectivity MRI (rsfcMRI). These scans will be done under general anesthesia at two points: 2 months and 12 months after the surgery. This allows researchers to observe how brain structure and connectivity evolve over the first year following the procedure. Children involved in the study will undergo brain MRIs at the specified times to measure changes in brain pathways, focusing on fractional anisotropy, mean diffusivity, radial diffusivity, and axial diffusivity. These measurements help assess brain tissue structure and connectivity changes. The study will monitor these outcomes over 12 months to better characterize cortical plasticity after Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy.

- Children diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia
- Children who have had Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery
- Age between 3 and 18 years

- Children who have not had Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery
