Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Female participants aged 0 to 45 years who are premenopausal
- Planned treatment likely to cause premature menopause or ovarian failure
- Receiving cancer treatment with abdominal or pelvic radiation and/or high dose chemotherapy
- Undergoing surgery requiring ovary removal for medical reasons, such as prophylactic oophorectomy in BRCA patients
- Unable or unwilling to preserve fertility by freezing eggs or embryos
- Previous cancer treatment allowed if ovarian function remains
- Medically stable and cleared for surgery by an anesthesiologist
You will not qualify if you...
- Not meeting the inclusion criteria
- Lack of medical clearance to undergo surgery
- Already experiencing menopause
