What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the effects of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) exercises compared to pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) in women who have stress urinary incontinence (SUI), which causes involuntary urine leakage during physical activities like coughing or sneezing. This study aims to see if DNS, a method that focuses on regulating intra-abdominal pressure and stabilizing core muscles, can reduce urinary symptoms and improve pelvic floor muscle function as effectively as PFMT. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: the PFMT group will use an EMG biofeedback device to perform pelvic floor muscle exercises, guided by a physiotherapist, focusing on proper muscle contractions and relaxation. The DNS group will perform exercises based on developmental kinesiology principles, including breathing techniques and posture correction using the Core 360 belt with sensors. The DNS program starts with preparatory fascial mobilizations and advances through specific developmental positions. Women in the study will be assessed over an 8-week period, measuring changes in pelvic floor muscle pre-contraction during strain, muscle strength, electrical muscle activity, voluntary contractions, urinary incontinence severity, symptoms, and quality of life impact. The study involves learning exercises, regular training sessions, and evaluations to monitor progress and safety. Participation lasts from enrollment through the end of treatment at 8 weeks.
