Participants will have their surgery observed and data collected on hernia type, completeness of sac removal, and mesh usage right after surgery. Researchers will also monitor complications and compare patient demographics 30 days after surgery. This study aims to gather important information on surgical techniques and patient outcomes to improve care for paraesophageal hernia repair.

- Patients aged 18 to 80 years
- Undergoing elective or emergent paraesophageal hernia repair
- Symptomatic paraesophageal hernia requiring surgery

- Previous surgery on esophagus, stomach, diaphragm, or anti-reflux procedures

Participants undergo paraesophageal hernia repair surgery, during which hernia sac excision and crural tension are evaluated immediately following the procedure.

Participants are monitored for complications and recovery outcomes up to 30 days after surgery.
