Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Women aged 35 to 70 years of all skin types
- About half of participants will be postmenopausal women (no menstrual period for over 1 year)
- About half will be premenopausal women
- Body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 35 kg/m2
- Habitual diet stable for at least 6 months and maintained during the study
- Use of usual skincare products for at least 1 month before study and maintained during study
You will not qualify if you...
- Allergy to nuts
- Unwillingness to stop oral collagen supplements 1 month before study
- Unwillingness to stop vitamin E or nut-containing supplements 2 weeks before and during the study
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Change in skincare products during the study
- Facial medical or cosmetic procedure in last 6 months (including botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, collagen)
- Autoimmune photosensitive or genetic collagen deficiency conditions (e.g., Ehler-Danlos syndrome)
- Facial skin disease affecting skin assessment
- Current tobacco smoker or history of smoking over 10 pack-years
