Researchers are studying the effects of different types of low back pain on pain intensity and quality of life in patients with failed low back surgery syndrome. The study includes 200 patients who have had lumbar spine surgery but continue to experience lower back pain lasting at least 3 months. The goal is to understand how neuropathic, nociplastic, and nociceptive pain types affect these patients' pain severity and daily life. Participants will be evaluated in a single session at the physical therapy and rehabilitation outpatient clinics of Konya Beyhekim Training and Research Hospital. The study uses various tools such as the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS) to measure pain levels, the Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) for functionality, and the SF-36 score for quality of life. Pain type is determined using the DN4 pain scale for neuropathic pain and clinical criteria for nociplastic pain. During the session, detailed histories and physical exams will be performed, along with collecting sociodemographic and clinical information. Researchers will assess pain intensity, disability, and quality of life using standardized questionnaires. The main measure is the effect of pain types on quality of life at baseline. The study is prospective and hospital-based, with ongoing recruitment until sufficient statistical power is achieved.
