What this Trial Is About

This trial investigates the effects of mandala coloring on stress, anxiety, pain, and physiological parameters in women diagnosed with missed abortion. Missed abortion can cause significant emotional distress and physical changes, leading to increased anxiety and stress. Researchers aim to find out if this simple, art-based activity can help improve psychological and physiological well-being during hospitalization. Participants are randomly assigned to either a group performing mandala coloring alongside standard care or a control group receiving only standard care. The mandala coloring session is individual, conducted in a quiet setting, and lasts at least 30 minutes during the hospital stay. The control group receives usual care without the coloring activity. Women will be assessed for stress, anxiety, and pain levels, as well as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and body temperature at hospital admission and immediately after the coloring session. These measures will help determine whether mandala coloring supports relaxation and emotional regulation during pregnancy loss. The study is sponsored by Selcuk University and runs until May 2026.
