Researchers are investigating how emotional states can be identified through physiological responses controlled by enzymes and hormones linked to the autonomic nervous system. This observational study focuses on measuring specific molecular biomarkers in saliva to better understand an individual's emotional state, especially in reaction to smells. Participants will be exposed to both fragrance and placebo in different sequences to observe changes in salivary biomarkers such as cortisol, alpha-amylase, DHEA, and oxytocin. These biomarkers will be measured using non-invasive saliva tests with enzymatic and ELISA methods to identify emotional responses to olfactory stimuli. During the study, saliva samples will be collected and analyzed to evaluate variations and patterns of these biomarkers over time. Researchers will also correlate biomarker levels with emotional ratings, aiming to establish a molecular signature of emotions. The study involves adults aged 18 to 60 and includes safety and compliance monitoring throughout the research period, which spans several years for different outcome measures.
