What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating how using a 1940 nm laser in surgery might improve healing and postoperative results for people treated for pilonidal cysts. The study aims to see if this laser reduces energy absorption during treatment and how this affects recovery and long-term outcomes. The study involves patients who have already undergone surgery for a pilonidal cyst using the 1940 nm laser treatment. It is an observational study, so it focuses on monitoring and collecting data rather than comparing different treatments. Participants are observed for healing progress one month after surgery and for any recurrence of the cyst six months later. During the study, researchers will review the patients' healing status and record whether the cyst returns. Participants' medical data will be collected and analyzed over a follow-up period extending up to six months. The study is sponsored by GCS Ramsay Santé pour l'Enseignement et la Recherche and aims to gather information to better understand the benefits and outcomes of this laser treatment approach.
