Evaluation of Needs of Patients and Care-givers During and After Radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer and Their Attitudes Regarding Prehabilitation Measures

Prostate cancer is a common cancer affecting many men, and this research focuses on understanding the needs and experiences of prostate cancer patients and their relatives during and after radiotherapy treatment. The study aims to explore their attitudes and wishes about starting supportive care measures, called prehabilitation, before or during radiotherapy to potentially reduce side effects. This qualitative survey is designed to gather detailed personal insights to help develop better care programs. Participants in this study will take part in interviews conducted either during their radiotherapy or follow-up period. These interviews, planned for about 60 minutes each, will involve patients and, if possible, their immediate family members or caregivers. The study does not involve treatment but centers on collecting experiences and opinions to improve patient support. During the study, participants will be interviewed once to discuss their experiences and views on prehabilitation measures. The researchers will evaluate these interviews to identify patient and caregiver needs during and after radiotherapy. This study will run from August 2025 to November 2026, with about 30 participants interviewed during radiotherapy and another 30 during follow-up.
