What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating the German version of the Subjective Cognitive Decline Questionnaire (SCD-Q), a tool used to measure self-perceived cognitive decline and its connection to biomarkers and digital cognitive tests. This study aims to validate the questionnaire in German and explore its relationship with blood-based markers related to Alzheimer's disease and early cognitive changes. The importance of this research lies in improving early detection and understanding of cognitive decline in a clinical German sample. Participants will continue their usual care at the memory clinic while completing the self-reported SCD-Q as part of their standard health questionnaire. Additional assessments include the Cognitive Failure Questionnaire, blood sample collection for biomarkers, and digital cognitive testing such as a clock-drawing test. Informants will also fill out the Functional Activities Questionnaire to provide complementary information on daily living activities. Throughout the study, participants will undergo baseline assessments that include validation of the German SCD-Q, analysis of its combination with biomarkers, and correlation with digital cognitive tests and a shortened version of the questionnaire. Blood samples will be collected and processed to measure Alzheimer's-related biomarkers. The total duration includes follow-up visits to monitor changes over time, with all routine clinical procedures maintained without alteration. Safety and adherence are monitored through the clinic's standard protocols.
