International Observational Study on Psoriasis Examining Healthcare Access, Treatment, and Quality of Life

Researchers are conducting the Global Healthcare Study on Psoriasis, an international observational study hosted by the University of Zurich. This study aims to examine healthcare access, treatment patterns, disease severity, and quality of life among patients with psoriasis. By collecting standardized clinical data from various healthcare systems, the study seeks to identify differences in healthcare delivery and patient outcomes worldwide. The study uses a combined approach, gathering both retrospective and prospective data from routine clinical care and medical records starting from January 2020 until the study ends. Participants include patients diagnosed with psoriasis, and no investigational treatments are administered as this is an observational study focused on data collection. Participants will have their clinical information, including disease severity and quality of life, recorded at baseline and followed up every 6 to 12 months for up to five years. Measurements include the Psoriasis Area Severity Index PASI, Dermatology Life Quality Index DLQI, Nail Psoriasis Severity Index NAPSI, Numerical Rating Scale for disease severity, Physician Global Assessment, and Body Surface Area affected. The study monitors these outcomes over time using routine clinical visits and medical records to understand the disease and treatment experiences better.
