Cervical spondylotic radiculopathy CSR is a common condition caused by cervical spondylosis, leading to neck pain radiating to the upper limbs, sensory issues, limited neck movement, and disability. The trial evaluates whether high-frequency electroacupuncture targeting cervical Huatuo Jiaji EX-B2 acupuncture points combined with pulsed electromagnetic field PEMF therapy offers better pain relief, improved neck function, and safety compared to conventional electroacupuncture combined with PEMF. This randomized controlled study enrolls patients diagnosed with CSR due to cervical spondylosis. Participants are randomly assigned to two groups one receives high-frequency electroacupuncture at bilateral cervical Huatuo Jiaji points corresponding to specific spinal segments plus PEMF therapy, and the other receives high-frequency electroacupuncture at conventional meridian acupuncture points on the affected side with the same PEMF therapy. Both groups undergo daily treatments Monday to Friday for two weeks, totaling 10 sessions. Licensed Traditional Medicine physicians administer all treatments following a standardized protocol. During the trial, participants are assessed before treatment, after one week, and at the end of two weeks. Evaluations include neck pain intensity using the Visual Analog Scale VAS, neck function via the Neck Disability Index NDI, cervical range of motion, and monitoring for adverse events such as bleeding, pain, dizziness, or allergic reactions. Blinded physicians perform outcome assessments to ensure objectivity. The study aims to measure changes in these outcomes and record any treatment-related side effects throughout the two-week period.
