Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- 60 years old or older
- Diagnosed with hypertension at least 6 months ago (stage 1 or 2)
- On antihypertensive drug treatment without dosage changes for at least 3 months
- Blood pressure below 140/90 mmHg measured in a medical office
You will not qualify if you...
- Current smoker
- Uncontrolled cardiovascular disease
- Disability
- Cognitive deficit
- Less than 100% participation in the study
- Changes or stopping of clinical or drug treatment during the study
